Today’s featured business is REAC Fitness. One of my great pleasures this year was meeting and working with Renee from REAC Fitness. She has health, and wellness at the heart of her business, and encourages women to Eat, Play and Live their way to a vibrant life. If you are lucky enough to follow her on social media, she will tempt you with mouthwatering snaps of her healthy, delicious breakfasts, and she is definitely #notacerealgirl – something that is instantly apparent when you see her plates. She has a way of making the principles of nutrition and fitness tasty and fun, and can help you to create long lasting healthy habits. Sometimes the best gift you can give yourself or a loved one is good health. I know that many persons have health goals that they are working towards, or want to start working towards. If you want the opportunity to Reset with Renee in January, there are details below!
1. How long have you been in business? What inspired you to start this business?
I have been running REAC Fitness part-time for the 5 years. I was always involved in fitness from primary school to now. My interest was sparked in my final year at UWI (2005) and I was thinking how would I be able to exercise if I became pregnant. I researched this and in 2011 I became an American Sports College of Medicine Personal Trainer. I have subsequently been certified in different areas, like exercise during pregnancy, mindset/lifestyle coaching and nutrition coaching throughout the years.
2. What services do you provide?
I offer small group exercise coaching, individual and group nutrition coaching and lifestyle coaching to women.
3. What is your favourite thing about being in this business?
My favourite thing is being able to interact with different women and being part of their transformation and growth process.
4. Tell us about the Reset program you will be running in January.
The Reset program will run from 8th January to 1st February 2018. It will cover nutrition coaching, tai chi, dancing, cardio and strength training. This is designed to help women get back on track after the holidays and create a solid foundation for their health and wellness. Registration opens on 20th December and the link will be shared on IG and facebook. Everything in REAC Fitess is based on 3 principles of Eat, Play and Live.
5. What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
I am not really that big on Christmas but if I had to think of something, it is the tradition of being creative with a Christmas tree. My family would find different and fun ways to make a Christmas tree, whether it be pieces of plywood a tree shaped car freshener or making one with natural materials.
6. Where can we find you?
If you want to meet Renee in person, you can also find her at: Unit #1, Small Business Development Centre, Fontabelle, St. Michael
Big love from a small island.
